Wovel?

Well, now I’ve seen everything. It’s a snow shovel on a wheel that is called, amazingly enough, a “Wovel”. They claim is easier on your back, but I have my doubts. However, at $149.99 (at the local Home Depot) it better be! It better come with a sand/salt dispenser and a cheap pair of gloves as purchase incentive too, but sadly it includes neither.

What ever happened to getting your kids (or the neighbor’s kids) to come shovel your driveway? Sounds cheaper and easier on your back, if you’re concerned about such things.

According to their website, www.wovel.com you can also purchase all sorts of accessories such as grips for your shoes (Why, when they claim it’s as easy as walking?) chippers, wheel treads, blade extenders, and so forth.

Quite frankly this has to be one of the most stupidest inventions I’ve seen in a long time. But hey, Winter is soon to be upon us, Christmas is coming, and ’tis the season to purchase ridiculous gadgets to deal with snow that you don’t need and never did.

To make matters worse, their ‘Tips’ section of the website is designed to look like user tips, when really it’s just a bunch of blurbs (slightly paraphrased, perhaps) from their documentation page that – get this – tells you how to shovel snow.
