RIP Wilson Pickett 1941-2006

One of my favorite musicians of all time, Wilson Pickett, passed away yesterday at the age of 64. Pickett created some of (in my opinion) the best soul music ever. Songs like Mustang Sally and Midnight Hour are two of my favorite songs ever and I have Pickett to thank. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991, and had a string of hits in the ’60s.
Pickett died from a heart attack just two months away from his 65th birthday next March 18th, but his music will always live on.
